V. Sattui Winery was named the 2011 “Best Winery” in the San Francisco Bay Guardian’s 37th annual Best of the Bay Readers Poll. According to the Guardian’s editor, Marke B., the reader poll is an “annual celebration of the people, places, and things that make living here [in the Bay Area] such a great experience—from Best Burrito…to Best Winery… and beyond. More than 15,000 of our readers voted in our 2011 Best of Bay Readers Poll for their favorites….”
Tom Davies, President of V. Sattui Winery, commented on the award: “All of us here at V. Sattui are extremely grateful for this recognition by the readers of the Guardian. The Guardian is known as being the go-to resource of things to do for residents of, and visitors to, the greater Bay Area. To have the readers of this trend-reporting publication select us as the Best Winery is great!”
Davies continued: “We are having an awesome year. Our 2008 Pilgrim Vineyard Zinfandel was named the 2011 Wine of the Year at the Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition, and one month later at the Monterey Wine Competition we garnered the 2011 Winery of the Year award. I believe all this wonderful news is the result of the company-wide efforts of our exceptional wine-making staff and the team in our Tasting Room, Italian Marketplace and Deli. Great wine, great food and our great team of dedicated, customer-oriented people clearly make the difference at V. Sattui Winery, and I think that is what the readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian are saying.”
V. Sattui Winery makes over 40 different highly-rated, award-winning wines.
