We like the recent crack-downs on unfair card practices, arbitrary account closings, and we support the general move toward transparency. But we think that ultimately the banks need to get lending again--and that may require nothing more than a recovering economy and an improved job picture (that's it!). So, maybe the politics we all want to see are those that focus on job creation and revitalizing the economy, instead of bickering, pointing fingers, or even sassy new names for their parties.
